REC Alpha Solar Panels and Fronius Inverter

The REC Alpha solar panel won an Intersolar Award in the photovoltaics category in 2020. Of most significance are the panel’s efficiency, low yearly degradation and ability to perform in hot Adelaide summers.

Fronius is a high-end Austrian manufactured inverter and is built for Australian conditions, with fantastic after service support and a great monitoring platform. Fronius’ reliability and performance due to its ‘active cooling’ capacity makes it a great option. The fan forced cooling system (which does sound like a computer over heating during the day) extracts heat, in turn reducing stress on the inverter and increases total generation in high ambient temperatures, perfect for that hot Adelaide summer.
